In this video, I am calling out the hit piece in our town's newspaper, The Pomfret Times. Want to read it for yourself? You can find it online right here: https://thepomfrettimes1995.org/wp/2026/08/07/the-pomfret-times-august-2026/
I felt it was necessary to share some background information, including email exchanges between the author of the recent letter in the paper and me. This person has repeatedly sent me messages, unsolicited, injecting himself into my business with the town. When he was met with facts and documentation (or lack thereof), he resorts to insults and even name-calling. I was told that they would stop emailing me, but then they continued their habit of email with his latest attempt at trying to control what I do at public meetings and online.
Check it out for yourself:

I really find it hard to believe that a grown man in their 80s feels the need to treat others this way. The letter was disturbing, and these emails are equally disturbing to me. If you don't have time to watch the video, here are the email exchanges I go over in detail in the video above:

Clearly, we have a very different opinion here on what's RIGHT vs WRONG. I believe, if we take grant funds for something, we should have that something...LIKE VIRTUAL MEETINGS. I also find it MINDBLOWING that our ARPA Committee took NO meeting minutes! There's no clear record of how the over $1.2 million was spent. Curious who was on that committee? You can find it on the town's website or I've included a screenshot here for you:

One of them happens to own and operate the newspaper this hit piece was written in....
Here's the publicly available info showing the intent to offer the Town of Pomfret Virtual Meetings with ARPA Grant funds:

Can anyone reasonably tell me why a gentleman in his 80s continues to try and silence me when asking relevant questions of the town's leadership? What gives him the right to tell me what to do while calling me names and belittling me? I was always taught to respect my elders, but this one is definitely trying my patience....
