Pomfret Power Pack - A Community Blessing

Today I am reminded of yet another reason I love our Pomfret community. Our Pomfret Community School principal sent us an email this morning informing us of a special partnership available for those who need assistance with food over the weekends. This is amazing news!

The email reads:

Dear PCS Families, We are pleased to share that Pomfret Community School is partnering with TEEG, Christ Church, and Pomfret School to offer a weekend food program designed to support families who may need a little extra help. Beginning Friday, September 12, children enrolled in the Pomfret Power Pack Program will bring home a bag filled with kid-friendly meals and snacks each Friday. We kindly ask that your child return the reusable grocery bag to the school office the following Monday, so we can continue to use them each week. To help us keep this program running smoothly, please: Remind your child not to open the food bag until they are home after school. Remind them not to sell, trade, or give away any items in the bag. Contact the school with any concerns about allergies or product quality. While we are not able to accommodate specific dietary restrictions or allergies at this time, we do want to be aware of any issues or feedback you may have.
